A moonlit night with the northern lights. 18-03-24

The first pictures taken from our viewing spot tonight showed the green
light of the northern lights behind the thin moonlit cloud. The arc of
the northern lights began to appear to the naked eye after a short time,
though it would come and go. Our visiting photographer Donald was
watching the sky and raised the alarm as the display brightened
suddenly, out we rushed from around the fire to watch. The display now
clearly visible curling and bending in the sky in front of us. What a
relief to get to see what we came for, the thin cloud now retreated to
leave the now pale northern lights dancing in the clear moonlit sky.
