The few thin patches of cloud gradually disappeared until the sky was
perfect, the milky way was so visible. The northern lights gave a pale
brightness across the northern sky, just a couple of times they
brightened so as they could be pointed out to our visitors. We managed a
few pictures with a red glow over a pale green stripe, we hoped for more
but just got more shooting stars. So many wishes made tonight, still a
special experience for us all.
