We set out from town with dark cloudy skies, which stayed that way all the way to our destination. It was still cloudy when we arrived, however while we were around the fire the sky began to clear. Then just as we began to discover our futures the retreating cloud revealed the northern lights, which remained with us for the rest of our time on the hill top. The cloud retreated to leave a crystal clear sky with a band of northern lights across it, after having cloudy skies and snowing all day this is exactly what we wanted to see.
