The moonlit landscape with its fresh covering of snow looked fantastic tonight under a clear sky. Just as we had arrived to our hill top and before we could get the camera set up the northern lights spread across the sky, bright orange/yellow bands of light moving about in the sky. In other areas of the sky tall pillars of northern lights rose up into space, gently wandering about in the bright moonlit sky. The sky was so bright we could hardly see any stars, but the northern lights were going to be noticed tonight.
