The power of the equinox 21.09.2019

Tonight the sky cleared after the heavy rain shower had passed, we climbed the hill under a crystal clear sky with very pale northern lights just visible. We stopped to watch the first bright burst of activity from the northern lights part of the way up the hill. We waited and watched the arc of the northern lights becoming brighter then fading again, soon the fireside drew us close. As soon as we were inside the northern lights took the challenge to race across the sky, so out we all rushed sausages on sticks steaming gently under the northern lights. We managed to finish the food eventually but again just as the warm drinks were being made again we had to rush out, what a show we got this time boy oh boy.  The northern lights had been so good for us tonight, they still reached across the sky for the whole journey home but quite pale, what a night in Lapland!
