We headed away from the last street lighting on our journey out into the wilderness, the sky was not as dark as we expected it to be! A bright green ribbon of light seamed to be above the road illuminating the road ahead. We hurried to the first spot where we can get a good view of the sky, the northern lights kept their best for us to arrive there. The sky to the west simply full of northern lights, curves and bands twisting and curling, when one band faded another would brighten to capture our attention. Finally the whole sky was taken by a corona display, not too bright but it filled the whole sky, as far as we could see in all directions, WOW. When we finally made it to our favorite viewing spot the moon looked as though it was sitting on our hill top waiting for us. I have seen this hill in many moods and different lights but this was simply beautiful. The northern lights continued to delight, tall fingers of light reaching towards us from the far north, what a night.
