Tonight we made our way to our viewing spot, the path freshly opened through the deep fresh snow by a snowmobile. The firewood brought in and the fire lit while fireside traditions here were explained. The old wooden khota came to life, a story telling spell was cast over us tonight in the flickering firelight. This was followed with some Lappish shamanism, such positive things to look forward to in our futures.
