Katkavaara – Visit a Reindeer Farm and Husky Farm by Snowmobile Sleigh

An enjoyable trip travelling by sitting on a snowmobile sleigh and enjoying the beautiful nature across the forests.

First we visit the local reindeer farm. Meet wild and trained safari reindeer. Introduction to reindeer sleigh ride and then riding yourself your reindeer is fun for sure. These activities offer great possibilities for taking photos and experiencing authentic wilderness life. You can also enjoy coffee or tea served with a pastry at the farm. You will also hear interesting stories about reindeer herding and wilderness life. You will also receive a « Reindeer driving license » as a memor.

After the reindeer farm we continue our sleigh ride to a Lappish tepee in the middle of the forest where we make a fire and barbeque our light lunch. Something to eat for all people including vegetarians. Hot chocolate and coffee, tea.

Afterwards we continue our sleigh ride to the husky farm. Introduction to husky training and driving. 2 km husky sleigh ride is included to the default price and 5 km ride is available as an option (you need to book in advance).

Guidance, all 3 kind of sleigh rides, all the equipment, winter clothes and footwear included. Duration is 5 hours (including 1h at each farm) with return transfers from your hotel.

You can also book Visit in Santa Claus village with this safari by additional price of 50 Euros / adult. Then you will meet Santa and receive Arctic Circle crossing certificate as well 🙂
