That night the KP index was very high, all Aurora Forecasts mobile apps kept sending messages about the big probability to see the Northern Lights. We were leaving Rovaniemi full of hopes! When we reached our secret spot and climbed uphill, the sky was covered with clouds. We still believed that the Auroras will cover the clouds, as it happens very often with such a high Sun’s activity. While waiting for the show, we started preparing our BBQ dinner and enjoyed a nice company of people from all around the world! We also tried some of the local shamanism. Melted tins rapidly cooled down in a cold water forming a variety of shapes. We were trying to predict the future, by interpreting the shadow casted after illuminating the melted formations.
