Tonight we hoped for our hill top to open up the cloud, the dark sky in the early evening was searched for signs of stars breaking through. Before the moon came up the stars and the northern lights would have the cloudy sky to themselves to illuminate from above, oh how we wished for this. Meanwhile the orange glow of the birch wood fire was casting shafts of light out of the kohta windows, what a welcome when you opened the door to enter. Food and warm drinks enjoyed around the fire, stories told and Finish habits explained for our guests. The evening progressed and we had time for sharing some Lappish shamanism, converting our guests to Finnishness. The shadows created in the torch light revealed those positive aspects of our futures, some fun was had interpreting the these!
