Fresh snow, clear sky and pale northern lights. 12-10-23

We saw a few stars on our way out into the wilderness but mostly cloudy.
We arrived to our destination to find crystal clear sky with the arc of
the northern lights reaching across the sky just above the tree tops. We
hurried to our final viewing spot and set up the camera as quickly as we
could, time to get  those all important pictures, the northern lights
were pale but quite beautiful, red and green light mingling with the
stars. The fresh snow was great to tramp through, just the tracks of the
fire fox which had been around before we arrived were there in the
virgin snow cover. Time around the fire was  with sharing our tradition,
so many aspects of life up here discussed tonight, a great safari. And
on the way back a fox ran across the road in front of us, hmm I wonder?
