We had to stop to check out the northern lights on our way out into the
wilderness tonight, one of our favorite spots was perfect. The clear
dark sky was the perfect backdrop for the northern lights, so many stars
to look at. Once at our hill top location the northern lights continued
to perform, and while the creation of the northern lights was being
explained a meteorite cut across the western sky. A bright blue/green
streak which most of us saw burning up, what a moment that was. Then the
northern lights did what we all wanted them to do, a bright burst of
activity, something to show the power and beauty of nature. What an
experience at our wilderness location, eventually the fireside drew us
close around it, what a perfect night.
