The 1st Day in Lapland

Transfer to Lapland Welcome safari office in the city of Rovaniemi where you will get dressed by special adventure gear and receive the latest info about the Northern Lights and the holiday package. Then you may be transported to your hotel. In the evening you may join Lapland Welcome’s legendary Northern Lights trip further into the dark wilderness. You will reach the best place for spotting the lights and hear stories about Northern Lights and wilderness life. You may also experience some shamanism in our special light hearted forecasting program. Good luck with lights as it is not guaranteed to see them, but the chances are the best here.

The 2nd Day in Lapland

Enjoy rich Lappish breakfast in your hotel and be prepared for an adventure day. You will meet your guide at the reception and will be transported to the start spot of snowmobile safaris. Soon you will receive briefing for snowmobiles driving and jump on nice modern snowmobiles.

We will drive across the snowy wilderness forest and swamps reaching a reindeer farm at 11 AM. The reindeer herders organize us a short reindeer sleigh ride on the yard and we receive special “reindeer driving licenses” as memory. Afterwards we listen to the stories about reindeer herding and enjoy a cup of warm beverage inside.

After the reindeer farm we head us again by snowmobiles to the husky farm. At the farm we will meet local people that organize us a nice husky sleigh ride just to try it. Afterwards we will greet the huskies and listen to the stories about the huskies and their training. With some luck there might be puppies as well at the farm.

Then we cross the Arctic Circle and get certificate of crossing, and enter Santa Claus Village. We will meet Santa himself and have a chance to buy a picture with him. We may send cards in Santa’s Post Office and go shopping souvenirs.

In the evening we enjoy half board dinner in our hotel and prepare us for another Aurora trip. We try to spot Aurora already on our way to the wilderness, on a little mountain and on the way back. Here you have the best chances to see Aurora but luck is needed again! Afterwards you will be transported back to your hotel. Good luck!

The 3rd Day in Lapland

Large breakfast buffet is available in the restaurant. Transfer to the airport. Good bye Lapland and Santa Claus!
