Pale northern lights at -30! 26.01.2020

We stopped to check the sky at our usual viewing spots along our route out into the wilderness, at the first place we could see a pale arc of the northern lights reaching across the hazy sky. When we stopped at our second spot the sky was clear, and the arc of the northern lights was much clearer both by eye and through the camera. It was pale but it had a clear shape, reaching across the sky to the north of our position. We must always take advantage of any display no matter how weak, it is our job to show what is there to be seen and entertain our guests while we wait for something brighter. Just after arriving to our final viewing spot a bright shooting star cut across the sky above us, wow what a chance to make a wish. We had time to share some Lappish shamanism with our guests around the fire while the sky was hazy, but it was difficult to get them back around the fire for the food once the sky cleared
again. Such a beautiful night on our little hilltop, some simply lay on the snow in the blue suits we had provided and stared straight up at the so big and bright stars.
