The first burst of northern lights tonight came while the sky was still a little bright from the twilight of the day. This moment always gives such colour to the photographs. The northern lights brightened and faded over the evening creeping closer to the south as time progressed. Tall pillars of light creeping across the arc of the northern lights in a perfect dark sky. What a special night we had in Lapland tonight!
