At our viewing spot we watched and hopped but the cloud would only allow
us to see the moon and the occasional star. Great fun was had around the
fire but still some disappointment. However on the way back the sky
cleared at incredible speed, we hurried to one of our viewing spots and
finally we got to see the northern lights as the cloud retreated to
expose pale northern lights cutting across the sky. Just as all hope was
lost we saw the northern lights, happy smiling faces under the northern
lights in so many pictures.
