Tonight the clear sky was lost to cloud for a while but then our hill top did what we hoped it would and the cloud began to open.
While we waited the warm fireside glow for a Finnish wilderness experience was well timed.
The northern sky became brighter as the northern lights glowed through the disappearing cloud. They became quite bright, a wide band of light across the sky for us to watch and to be in our own thoughts, quite magical.
