The northern lights tonight filled the sky for the whole trip, only pale
and often hiding in the hazy moonlight but above us the whole time. We
kept an eye on the sky the whole trip, pointing out the brighter
moments. The warm glow of the fire though was the environment to enjoy
some insights into wilderness culture and traditions. The food and warm
drinks enjoyed we shared our Lappish shamanism with our visitors, quite
an induction into our lives up here in the wilderness. On the way back
we kept an eye on the sky for the northern lights, we got one last
sighting of a bright burst of northern lights overhead. The northern
lights were going to be noticed one last time tonight just as we were
leaving the wilderness to return to civilization.
