Unlike the past couple of nights, today we left Rovaniemi in a crystal clear sky. Even though the sky looked very promising that evening, we did not see northern lights on our stops on the way. Just when we arrived at our hilltop, we had an early display of Auroras. We were just in time to take some good pictures. In the end the lights came back and gave us the opportunity to take some more pictures before leaving the hilltop and the freezing cold weather behind us and heading back home to Rovaniemi.
