The soft fresh snow on the track to our viewing spot gave the trip a magical Christmas feeling. The warm glow of the fire captivated us as stories were shared, Lapland was explained. The food toasted and warm drinks enjoyed the time was right to share our Lappish shamanism, our guests eagerly sat on the edges of their seats the little horse shoes gripped in warm hands. Soon it was time to interpret the meaning of results after tipping the molten tin into water, the now cooled metal was examined thoroughly. Some small hints of a good living to come, though clear signs for others now was the time to chase their ambitions. One side of the kota was lucky in love but the other not so lucky, but the tins never lie. The shadows though gave some clear messages, the little bird in one was quite beautiful.
