Highlights of Lapland

ARRIVAL DAY

Welcome! The guide is waiting for you at Rovaniemi (RVN)  airport. Transfer to the city of Rovaniemi. In the safari office you will receive all the winter adventure gear for your Lapland package and latest information about the programs. Transfer to your hotel. Check in to your hotel, half board dinner is available usually until 9 PM.

THE SECOND DAY

Snowmobile safari to husky farm with husky safari. After the rich breakfast we join the briefing to snowmobile driving. On our snowmobile safari to the husky farm we traverse incredible beautiful winter scenery driving ourselves modern and ecological snowmobiles. At the husky farm we join their 1 hour husky safari across taiga forests. We drive ourselves and exchange drivers on the half way. Afterwards we listen to interesting stories about huskies and their life. Light lunch is offered during the day.

At the hotel we may enjoy Finnish sauna and their half board dinner.

THE THIRD DAY

Santa Claus snowmobile safari. Breakfast. Today we jump on the snowmobiles again and head us across the wild forests to the reindeer herderds where we meet traditionally dressed people. We listen to their stories about reindeer herding and wilderness life. We may try some reindeer sleigh ride on their driving tracks. Light lunch during the day. At the Arctic Circle and after crossing it we meet Santa Claus and have a chance to buy a picture with him. Santa’s village is the best place for shopping and sending cards. Sauna and half board dinner at the hotel.

THE FOURTH DAY

Snow adventure day. Breakfast in the hotel. Check out. After the breakfast we go and try these traditional outdoor activities like sledding, snowshoes, ice fishing and kick sledding in breath taking nature views. Lunch in a tepee on a fell during the day. Check in Aurora Apartments. Wood burning sauna, dinner,  northern lights trip and overnight in glass igloo. Our legendary and exciting evening trip you will enjoy mountain area, where you will have the best chance to follow the sky and also learn something about old Finnish mythology and shamanism.

THE DEPARTURE DAY

Airport transfer. Good bye Lapland !
