Lapland from Oulu

THE 1st DAY (Saturday)

Ranua wildlife Park, Santa Claus village and Northern Lights 

Welcome!

We will meet you in your hotel in Oulu at 8 AM in the morning. Soon we head out from town and drive across the wild forest to Lapland and first to Ranua Wildlife Park where we meet all wild animals living in Lapland at about noon. There are hundreds of animals and birds in the park including polar bears.  After the tour we enjoy great lunch in the park’s cozy restaurant.

Afterwards we drive about an hour to Rovaniemi – the capital of Lapland – where we visit Santa Claus village and meet Mr Santa himself. We receive Arctic Circle crossing certificate and go also shopping souvenirs. Short reindeer sleigh ride possible as an option.

Afterwards we drive to hotel level wilderness lodge where we enjoy the dinner and check in our rooms.

Late evening we join the daily Northern Lights tour, learn a lot about photographing the lights, make pictures and try to see the lights on the best possible spot.

THE SECOND DAY (Sunday)

Snowmobile safari in the snowy forest 

After the rich buffet breakfast we join the briefing to snowmobile driving. On our snowmobile safari we traverse incredible beautiful winter scenery driving ourselves modern and ecological snowmobiles. We drive ourselves and exchange drivers on the half way. Light lunch is offered during the day in a teepee by open fire.

In the afternoon we leave the area and head back to Oulu where we will be at about 6 PM:
