Ivalo – Rovaniemi Snowmobile Safari

It is an adventure to cross Lapland on snowmobiles!

ARRIVAL DAY

Arrival in Ivalo airport. Transfer to the hotel. Receiving winter adventure clothing and other equipment. Dinner buffet.

THE SECOND DAY

Breakfast in the hotel. We start driving from Ivalo, the biggest village far north in Finnish Lapland. We drive to Saariselka fell center where we enjoy lunch in a local fell bar. In the afternoon we continue driving to a husky farm where we participate a husky safari on our way to the next destination, Tankavaara Gold village. In the village we enjoy sauna and participate their nice gold panning program after the delicious dinner. Afterwards we try spotting the Northern Lights on the sky. Overnight in cottages.

THE THIRD DAY 

Breakfast. The safari continues across a large natural area. On the way we see taiga forests, lakes, rivers, swamps and fells. In the afternoon we arrive to Sodankyla another village in Lapland. We may have a walk in the city and meet local Lapps in bars. We enjoy their sauna and dinner and good hotel beds.

THE FOURTH DAY

Breakfast. Today we keep on driving south reaching Kayramo and enjoy our lunch there. Afterwards we continue south crossing large forests and finally arriving to the Arctic Circle near Rovaniemi. Crossing the Arctic Circle and making pictures. Dinner and overnight in cottages or glass igloos.

THE FIFTH DAY

Breakfast. Let’s go shopping souvenirs in Santa village on the way to the airport or train. Airports Rovaniemi or Ivalo. Good bye Lapland!

Snowmobiling gear; Helmet, snowmobiling suit, shoes, gloves. Snowmobile rental and fuel, motor vehicle insurance, organiser’s liability insurance. Guide services, services in English. Accommodations in cottages and hotels like in the program, breakfasts and dinners at the places of accommodation, snacks on the tracks. Local transfers. Accommodation, all meals and professional guiding.

1490 € / adult, solo driving snowmobiles. Overnight in a glass igloo by additional price. Options: Stay longer in Rovaniemi and book more programs!
