Tonight as we made our way out into the wilderness under a very good looking quite clear sky, a mother moose with her baby rushed off the road and took cover in the forest beside the road. It is always good to see the locals out enjoying themselves, we kept our eyes open to try to spot more. When we arrived to our base camp I could just make out the arc of the northern lights across the still bright sky. It took a few moments to set up the camera and capture this before it faded but so good to turn up at the same time as the northern lights. We kept a good watch on the sky, the northern lights playing with us becoming brighter then fading back into the twilight. A shooting star was a good reminder to watch the whole sky, some wishes made of course. And what a surprise we sneaked inside around the fire for just a moment, and out came the northern lights. The bright green band now so clear for us to see, it got brighter as we stood and watched it. The brightness shifting back and forwards along the band, just what we wanted to see.
