It had snowed all day so we were pleased to find that our pathways up and around the hill top had been opened up by snowmobile, thanks Veli. We watched the sky for signs of an opening in the cloud while the northern lights creation was explained, also searching for the tell tale green light from the northern lights with the camera. The fireside though was too irresistible, combined with the chance to warm some food over the fire and enjoy a warm drink. Then we had time to share some Lappish shamanism, the explanation of how to interpret the tin was
listened to with excitement, it is so important to understand the future when you have a chance. As we were about to leave one last picture with the camera and finally we got that green light we had been hoping for, a sign that above us the northern lights were dancing across the sky, we just need that hole in the cloud that our hill top so often makes then we will see them.
