As always, we stopped and checked the sky on the way to our destination, but no holes through the cloud until we arrived to our destination. We watched and waited, I gave the explanation of how the northern lights are created while pointing out the clearer holes in the cloud now becoming quite frequent. The moon would appear then the cloud would claim it back, though through the camera in our pictures there was a lot of blue sky up there just waiting to all join up and banish the cloud. The fire lit and the warm glow from inside attracted the attention of some of our guests, although some took some persuading to go inside away from the moonlit landscape. Around the fire we warmed our food over the hot embers, you have to get the all important tastes of the fire in the food for the real experience. We kept an eye on the conditions outside hoping for some clearer sky, the northern lights have a habit of sneaking out for a display when no one is watching them. We invited our guests tonight to share in a little Finish shamanism, an old tradition here to reveal the positive aspects in our futures, hmm, some surprises again tonight. We kept an eye on the sky on our return journey, still lots of blue sky to be seen when we stopped to check. A very large moose ran across the road ahead of the first minibus, what a sight he was in our headlights. The last guests were dropped to their accommodation in quite heavy snowfall, ahh winter is coming.
