Lapland at its best, so much to tell about 02-09-24
Tonight our safari was enriched by a beautiful sunset for our journey
out into the wilderness, what a start foe our safari with golden orange
sky reflected of the mirror smooth river. Once away from civilization we
spotted an adult female moose standing apparently alone in the canter of
a field, however we failed to look carefully at the bush in the ditch
near by. As the mother moose walked away her baby ran out from its
hiding place behind the bush, just 4 months old and able to understand
how to hide. Animals in their natural habitat are oh so impressive. Then
at our viewing location as the sky darkened the northern lights
appeared, just a fuzzy pale arc to start with but we got so much more.
The northern lights danced for us filling the sky with green spikes of
light stretching up into space. One of our guest had wanted to see the
northern lights since child hood, a dream come true.
