Half a moon with northern lights 01.04.2020

Tonight the moon reached half full status, it was bright in the thin patchy cloud. The northern lights were further north, dancing over the hill tops on the horizon. There was though a huge pale band, a ghostly green arc through the camera of the northern lights. The moonlight was bright enough to almost hide this feature, and without the moonlight this would have been a fantastic photo opportunity. The northern lights though crept a little closer and brightened. Tall streaks of light danced along the bands of northern lights crossing the sky. A beautiful sight to watch standing in the moonlight!
