Tonight as we headed out into the wilderness leaving the street lights behind us we could see bright stars in a clear dark sky. We climbed up to the top of our hill under bright sparkling stars in a black sky, what a contrast. While we watched the sky some bright shooting stars streaked across the sky, time to make a wish for our guests, the brightest shooting stars leaving sparkling trails behind them. The milky way so clear stretching across the sky, slowly swinging around marking the earths rotation through the night. The fireside was popular while we waited, the sound of fireside chatter was all that could be heard on this windless clear night.
