Meet lovely huskies and their owners and participate in their all day husky safari in the beautiful wilderness of Lapland.
In the beginning guide introduces us to sled dog driving. During the safari we will have one longer break for a lunch and several breaks for making pictures in the snowy woods.
Minimum age is 15 years old. Small group size is guaranteed! Driving distance is about 40 – 45 km that is about 5 hours depending on the weather conditions. Enjoy!
The practice of sled dogs dates back to 2000 BC. Historically it was used for work to pull loads in Siberia and North America. In the 1900s a Norwegian explorer used the sled dogs in a race to reach the South Pole. This practice then spread to European countries for nature tours and to bring supplies to soldiers during the First World War. Nowadays, sled dogs are mostly used for recreation.
