Beautiful Auroras once again 21.01.2022 January 21, 2022

Rovaniemi is one of the best places in the world for spotting the Northern Lights. It is located at the Arctic Circle, where in general the chances to see the Northern Lights are very high. Also the climate in Rovaniemi area is continental, which means clear sky for most of the evenings in the winter time, at least on the arctic hills outside the city area. But it is impossible to predict the Northern Lights weather reliably. Outside of the town, on arctic hills where we go, the weather is very often clear and better than predicted. You don’t need more than 5 minutes of clear sky to see the Auroras. On the hills it happens very often, even on cloudy nights. Here are some of the photos taken on 21.1.2022.
