As we traveled out into the wilderness the thin hazy cloud cleared and we stopped to check for northern lights and what a surprise we got. Just as we got out of the minibuses the northern lights became brighter and taller as they marched across the sky for us to watch. We already had our cameras set up so it was straight into photography mode and simply to watch one of the greatest wonders of nature, what a start to our trip.
