We arrived to our viewing spot relieved to see the sky was much clearer at this location. Straight away the northern lights crept across our hazy moonlit sky. A race to set up cameras but the northern lights were in a generous mood, they just kept coming back bright over the evening. The quad bike safari joined us for a shared time around the fire. And so it was with steaming sausages on toasting forks in hand our guests rushed out to watch the northern lights perform, the sausages on sticks looking like receiving antennas as we watched tall pillars of green light reaching up into space above us. And on the way home we disturbed a large owl from the trees beside the road, always great to meet the Arctic wildlife in its natural environment.
