Tonight the northern half of the sky was a little brighter than the southern half, giving a clue the brightness was the northern lights. And sure enough through the camera the sky was green. So we stood and talked through the creation of the northern lights illuminated in the glow from them, the tree tops around our viewing spot clearly visible in this light. However, food, warm drinks and a glowing fire were an attraction, we had time to enjoy our shaman tradition, as in the old times in the glow of a birch wood fire.
