We could see the northern lights as we headed out into the wilderness, pale but there in the clear star filled sky. We stopped to watch them and to get our first pictures, and then again at our second usual spot. This time they were keen to be noticed and became bright as we stood there watching, we were in the right place at exactly the right time. We were busy taking pictures and making sure everyone who needed help with their camera got it. Then on to our viewing spot still under the northern lights, the cameras now very busy. The northern lights brightened and faded several times before it was time to leave, but as always we wanted more. On the way back to town the northern lights put on a bright dancing farewell for us, it was a race to get to a section of the road where we could watch this. Then as we traveled on again the lights gave one last burst of dancing in the sky, so beautiful. And for our guest who was with us for the second night in a row, the tin proved to be correct, now was the time to pursue ambitions and dreams. The shooting stars that joined in with the final northern lights display were proof there was more to come in life to wish for.
