The Laplad-based tourism company Lapland Welcome has changed ownership. The new owners are experienced professionals who aim to develop the business with a focus on local presence.
Lapland Welcome Ltd has undergone an ownership change. The entire share capital of the company has been transferred to the new owners: Scandinavian Arctic Investment Oy, owned by Mr. Mikael Rissanen and Mr. Mikko Vartiainen, and Mr Julian Amorrich. The purchase price is not public. Lapland Welcome Oy operates in Rovaniemi, Tervola’s Kätkävaara, and Saariselkä. The previous owner, Mr. Veli Moilanen, will retire.
New Management Team
Rovaniemi locals Mr. Mikael Rissanen and Mr. Julian Amorrich are experienced professionals in the tourism and event services industry and will take charge of the company’s operational activities, with Mr.Rissanen serving as CEO and Mr. Amorrich as Marketing Director. The new owners plan to develop the company’s operations comprehensively.
Towards More Responsible Business Practices
The new owners will begin their work as the winter tourism season kicks off. This timing presents challenges for business development, but there are also many positive aspects.

As the season begins, our priority is to take care of our staff, customers, and daily operations,” says Mr. Rissanen, adding, “Local presence and responsibility are important values for us. Tourism in Lapland has grown primarily through long-term collaboration. As experienced professionals, it is crucial for us that the good cooperation with stakeholders continues in the future.”
