The northern lights were with us all night 21.11.21 November 21, 2021

The northern lights became visible while our guests were being told about how they are created. A feint arc of the northern lights was creeping across the sky in front of us. Soon though the arc was much brighter and then cameras were busy, but in the end there was no hurry as the northern lights tonight were staying with us. The display brightened and faded over the evening, its shape and brightness shifting constantly. So many photo opps tonight, the almost full moon illuminating the landscape for us to appreciate. The river ice cracking under the cold temperatures gave those not used to this aspect of life up here quite a shock.
